Dear Friends and Family, In this letter, I am going to discuss being financially educated.

But first let me say…Today is a beautiful day. Believe it and see it! 

I am hoping that you are doing very well and feeling happy and healthy. 

Today, I am going to tell you about 19 signs that you are a financially educated person.  

Being financially educated allows you to be able to make decisions that are appropriate for you, avoid following those who may mislead you (either intentionally or unintentionally), and making decisions that are more able to help you achieve your goals.

But, don’t worry if you do not have all of the signs of being financially literate, yet. 

You can just use the list to give you an idea of goals to work toward.

So, let’s get started! 

18 Signs That You Are a Financially Educated Person 

1. You know your credit score. 

2. You pay your bills on time. 

3. You understand your pay stub. This includes your gross income, your net income, and what has been deducted and why.

4. You have an emergency fund.

5. You have a savings account.

After the first 5 signs, do you seem financially educated?

6. Also, you have a checking account.

7. And, all of your accounts have beneficiaries, and your beneficiaries are up to date.

8. You know how to have fun without spending a lot of money.

9. You have a financial plan.

10. You know your net worth.

The last 9 Signs that you are financially educated

11. You know the difference between wants and needs.

12. Your financial documents are organized.

13. You know the difference between assets and liabilities.

14. You understand and use delayed gratification.

15. So, you invest, not just save.

16. You spend less than you earn.

17. Also, you borrow less than you could.

18. You consider and work to minimize taxes.

Now, ask yourself how many of these signs do you have.

However, don’t stress if you don’t have many, or even any. Just keep working toward it, and it will happen.
